Tour Program

Meeting point: Strandkaiterminalen (bus stop next to the Express Boat Terminal)
Our bus, driver and tour guide will be ready approximately 15 minutes before departure.

Within just ten minutes of leaving Bergen, we are already out of the city and surrounded by beautiful scenery. A little later, the road follows the idyllic Osterfjord, with Osterøy — Northern Europe’s largest inland island — on the left-hand side.

At the narrowest point of the fjord, you’ll spot the elegant suspension bridge connecting Osterøy to the mainland.

The drive from Bergen offers beautiful scenery, with views of the Osterfjord and interesting stories from your guide along the way.

After about an hour, we make a short comfort stop in Dale — a chance to stretch your legs and use the restroom.

About thirty minutes later, we pass through Voss, a charming town in the heart of Western Norway. From here, the scenery becomes even more dramatic as we approach majestic mountains, spectacular waterfalls and one of Norway’s most beautiful fjords.

Tvindefossen is an impressive waterfall, dropping 116 metres in multiple streams that cascade beautifully down the cliff.

According to local legend, its waters have rejuvenating powers. This story has added to Tvindefossen’s popularity, making it one of Norway’s well-known natural attractions and drawing thousands of visitors each year.

Gudvangen is a beautiful and authentic village nestled deep within the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, surrounded by some of Western Norway’s most dramatic scenery.

With towering mountains and cascading waterfalls all around, the village offers a peaceful and charming atmosphere in the heart of the fjord landscape.

In Gudvangen, we board the boat that takes us onto the Nærøyfjord – one of Norway’s most beautiful and dramatic fjords.
With steep mountain walls, narrow passages, and impressive landscapes, the fjord offers a quiet and unforgettable way to experience Norway’s nature.

The Nærøyfjord is a branch of the Sognefjord and stretches for about 17 kilometers, with mountains rising up to 1,800 meters above sea level.
As part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, this area stands as a remarkable example of Norway’s natural beauty.

Sit back, relax, and take in the unspoiled nature around you.

Flåm is a small, scenic village located at the heart of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the majestic Sognefjord.

Surrounded by steep mountains and waterfalls, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and some of the most beautiful scenery in the region.

Stegastein is a spectacular viewing platform that stretches 30 metres out from the mountainside, 650 metres above the Aurlandsfjord.
From here, you’ll enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains – a favourite stop for both visitors and locals.

The platform is part of the National Tourist Route between Aurland and Lærdal, offering a unique chance to experience Norway’s dramatic landscape up close.

Occasionally, fog or clouds can reduce visibility at this height, but on such days we’ll make an alternative stop in Aurland.

Winter season (October 17 – April)

After visiting Stegastein, we head back toward Bergen. On the way, we stop once more in Gudvangen for a well-deserved break at Gudvangen Fjordtell. Here, you can enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a tasty Norwegian pastry in a cozy fjordside setting.

Summer season (May 1 – October 16)

During the summer season, we instead stop at the historic Stalheim Hotel, majestically located with panoramic views over the dramatic Nærøydalen Valley.

The hotel has welcomed guests since the 1800s and holds a rich history, including royal visits and serving as a source of artistic inspiration.  Here, we enjoy a coffee break while taking in the unbeatable view – a perfect stop that combines cultural heritage, natural beauty, and Western Norwegian hospitality.

We return to Bergen after a full day among fjords, waterfalls, and mountains — carrying with us memories of a truly Norwegian nature experience.

Please note that, due to the nature of the roads and landscape in Western Norway, occasional delays may occur. We recommend allowing some flexibility in the schedule.
